Internet Exchange is an entertainment and community-discovery experience — a playful stock market for the public internet. Here is what that means, plainly.
What Internet Exchange is
Internet Exchange lets anyone submit a public link (“IPO” it) onto the Exchange, and lets visitors express support (“BACK”) for the listings they believe deserve more attention. Rank and Internet Cap move as the Exchange does. It is entertainment and discovery — not a financial product, and not affiliated with any real stock exchange.
Internet Cap is not money
Internet Cap is a fictional, internal measure of a listing’s standing on Internet Exchange. It is NOT money, market capitalization, company valuation, ownership, equity, a security, or an investment. It cannot be redeemed for money or anything of value, on Internet Exchange or anywhere else.
BACK is not investing
BACK means expressing support or conviction for a listing, inside Internet Exchange. It is NOT buying anything, not investing money, not purchasing equity, not acquiring ownership, and not entering any kind of financial contract.
IPO is not a securities offering
“IPO” on Internet Exchange means submitting or launching a public internet destination onto the Exchange. It is NOT a securities offering, NOT a financial IPO, and it creates no financial relationship between Internet Exchange, the submitter, and the destination’s owner.
Submitting a listing
Anyone may submit a public internet destination. By submitting one, you confirm you have the right to provide the name, tagline and other text you submit, and that the destination is genuinely public.
Listings are community-submitted. A listing does not imply affiliation with or endorsement by the product owner. A listing existing on Internet Exchange never implies affiliation, endorsement, sponsorship, partnership or ownership between Internet Exchange and the destination, its operator, or the person who submitted it. See Listing Guidelines for what is and isn’t allowed.
External destinations
Every listing points to a destination controlled by a third party. Internet Exchange does not operate, control or vouch for any destination’s content, availability or safety. Visiting one is at your own judgment.
We may suspend or remove listings
We may suspend, remove or block a listing at any time, for any reason, including a violation of the Listing Guidelines, a legal request, or abuse of the Exchange. See Report / Takedown / Contact.
Fair use of the Exchange
Attempting to manipulate rank, Internet Cap, BACK, views, visits, shares or referrals — through automation, coordinated manipulation, spam, or abuse of the anonymous-visitor system — is prohibited.
The service changes
Internet Exchange is a live, evolving product. Rank, Internet Cap, features and this page can all change over time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
Liability
Internet Exchange is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Internet Exchange and its operator are not liable for damages arising from your use of it, or your reliance on Internet Cap, rank, or any listing.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
Who operates Internet Exchange
Internet Exchange is an independently built and operated online project. Where these terms refer to “we,” “us” or “the operator,” that means the operator of Internet Exchange.
